Retro Finance is a decentralized exchange built to offer efficient trading options across multiple blockchains. The platform is designed with a focus on cross-chain interoperability, empowering users with frictionless, secure, and low-cost trading experiences.

Retro sought to build an innovative platform that simplifies DeFi interactions for its users while maintaining a high standard of security, scalability, and performance. Codemelt's role was to design and implement functionalities such as liquidity pools, position management, and governance into a cohesive platform that aligns with Retro Finance's identity and provides an engaging user experience.

The primary challenge was to develop a platform that balances advanced DeFi functionalities with a clean, user-focused interface. We simplified many of the workflows that were inherent to the platform's key functionalities and we ensured most user platform interactions are accompanied by real-time, interactive visual feedback such as animations or notifications.

Codemelt designed and developed key components of Retro Finance's platform from scratch. The Liquidity Pools Section includes features for both core and partner pools, providing detailed metrics like total liquidity, APY, and token details. Users can efficiently add or withdraw liquidity through a simple workflow. Moreover, we introduced real-time analytics, transaction and other interactive features for position management to ensure transparency and confidence in decision-making for traders.

Besides building a functional and complex exchange for Retro, our team of designers ensured that our product would fit with the wider Retro brand aesthetic. Inspired by an 8-bit design, specific to the early stage of gaming, our designer team ensured this look and feel would be present in all elements of the platform.
